addition to my gallery was made with my friends' sewing shop in mind.

Has it really been this long since I posted an update? Shame on me...
I do have something new though. This is an illustration based on my
level 70 warlock in World of Warcraft. I was inspired by illustrations
like this
one to try my own hand at some WoW art. I've submitted it to Blizzard's
fanart page so we'll see what happens. ;) This one's also available
as a print in my print shop if anyone is interested. :)

01-02-2007 New illustration added today entitled "Moonlit Maiden."  12-31-2006 12/21/06 Apologies for the lack of updates and also the mis-matched layouts on my website. I have been uploading new art but have not been updating the News section. Here is a brief update: Lots of new art is up on the Art page! I've uploaded 4 new ones just today--my Christmas vacation from work has been wonderful for catch-up time. The bad news I have to report, in case anyone has wondered why I have 2 pages in the new layout and the rest in the old, is that my hard drive on my computer with much of my artwork and website files went bad a while back. Since then I hadn't had the time to figure out how I was going to continue with the site's facelift. The funny thing is I had just booted up my computer so that I could back up the files on that hard drive, when suddenly my computer decided it could no longer read it. How's that for luck? In the meantime, I'd like to direct everyone to my deviantART page for the fastest art updates. 07/26/2006 New art uploaded to my illustration page today! It is a commissioned piece for a relative's birthday in which several characters from her favorite tv shows, comic books, and movies are in attendance at her birthday party. Also, someone from the deviantART community featured my print illustration of "Dark Fae" as their "Print of the Day" on July 7th. You can see the entire feature here. Thanks OibyrdsDDs! The illustration I was working on before my commissioned piece put it on the backburner is an "Alice in Wonderland"-like character. I hope to have her ready to upload next month. 03/08/2006 "New" art uploaded to the Misc. gallery. First up are some photos of decorative jewelry boxes I made in 2004. And secondly a rotating photo set of the prototype figure or doll I made of Lucy (who also happens to be the website's mascot) in 2004. :) As promised, the latest update about my illustration opportunity: I was hired by Wiley Publishing, Inc. to do the chapter illustrations for a book entitled Pampering Your Pooch by Jason Rich. You can read about the project and the author here: http://www.mypalrusty.com/ Rusty is Jason's Yorkie and also the mascot I have illustrated for the book. The book is due out sometime in September 2006. :) In other news, I have been invited to be a guest speaker in an Art Appreciation class at Ivy Tech. I will be making my presentation there April 5th. And finally, "Captain Jack Kelly" is now available in my print shop. Coming soon: "Secrets" will be made available on a tote bag. 01/15/2006 New art has been uploaded to my Illustration gallery--"Captain Jack Kelly." He is the first in my pirate series. I'm currently working on submitting some illustrations to a book company this week for a freelance project. Word has it I'm one of maybe three artists submitting work to the project. If my work gets chosen, I'll get to make about 75 drawings and get credited as the illustrator in the book. More news on that as I get it. I just received my first Wacom tablet in the mail yesterday. I'm looking forward to doing some work with Corel Painter IX and the tablet in the coming months. Always nice when an artist gets new toys. :) 12/29/2005 Time for a MUCH overdue update! I recently had art on display at the Maring-Hunt Library in Muncie, IN. I had 11 pieces of framed illustrations and products on display in a display case and an oil painting hung in another area. Pictures are now posted in the Misc. section of my Art page. :) I'm putting the finishing touches on my 1st pirate illustration; however, I don't have a projected upload date, but it will be in January. Things have been rather hectic with the holidays and whatnot. ^_^;; Also if Cafepress.com cooperates with me, I'm changing the women's raglan hoodie from being Madame Absinthe to Dark Fae per request. 09/26/2005 My old hard drive recently failed, and with it I lost all my artwork and files from the past few years. :( I was in the middle of working on coloring an illustration when it happened, so I'll be starting the coloring on that piece from scratch. It should be finished and uploaded in the next week I hope... Also, I've been working hard on getting this website sliced and finished. It may look a little different now--got rid of the borders. A new link was added to the Links page--www.thinkbolt.com. My website e-mail address changed slightly as well. Expect more art to be up in the coming weeks! 09/05/2005 "Nereid" is now available for purchase from my Deviantart Shop here. 08/12/2005 Opened my CafePress Shop tonight! Check it out! Currently offering some t-shirts, buttons, magnets, clocks and journals. Also tweaked the site tonight and did spring cleaning on my deviantART gallery. 08/09/2005 Uploaded new illustration--"Nereid." Added Resume and News pages. Coming up next: more scans, the About Sara page, Nereid print availability, and more! Stay tuned. |
